What Is It?
Point-to-Point Video Transmission Service (TVS) is provided in the WITS2001 Contract as TV-1 Service. TV-1 Service provides one-way transmission of the highest quality video and audio service over Verizon's fiber optic network.
What's it For?
Customers use TV-1 Service for broadcast and distance learning applications. Verizon's video solutions provide customers with the transmission alternatives they require at costs they can control and afford.
How It Works
TV-1 service provides a basic Video channel with one-way transmission capability for a standard 525-line/60-field monochrome, or National Television Systems Committee (NTSC) color, video signal and one or two associated 5 or 15kHz audio signal(s). Video channels are provided between customer-designated premises and a Telephone Company Hub.
